After having some problems updating the old script (phpbb) to be more secure, I decided it was time to find something else that will hopefully be more secure for us to use so here is what I came up with (hopefully you guys like it). You should be able to login to your accounts using the same username/password from before.

I realize its kind of a pain to ask everyone to redo a few things (such as their avatars) but for the most part everything transferred over fine. I also realize some things are now missing (such as the ability to add videos) but those are things I will work on in the near future. Also, our member number is messed up and I am working on 'pruning' all the bogus accounts there.

Anyhow, thanks for everyone's patience...

Just so everyone knows some of the links and videos that have been posted on the site are messed up since the change. However, you can get them to work by copying and pasting them in your address bar. Otherwise I'm in the process of going through threads and fixing links (though doing all of them will take a LONG time but I will try to do the most recent stuff at least)

Wow, change is hard--as we all know.

On the first look, I would say I appreciate the simplicity of the old version.

I'll try and play around with it for a few days before a final report card.

As you know "Change is Hard" via Barack Obama Cool

And also, what will half of the folks posting here do if they have no "puke" icons ?? I'm not sure they could survive................

I added a bunch of new smilies - including the famous 'puke' one Thumbsup

. You can find them by clicking the 'new topic' or 'add reply' buttons...

I also added the ability to 'embed' videos. Pretty simple stuff for everyone, all you have to do is post a link to a video (such as a youtube video )and the site will take care of the rest.

For example, the following link:

Will be automatically changed to this:

I'm getting used to it...it's more friendly than the first night.

However, there's a "whole lot of smilies" that I hope folks will not use.

Some are just way too active for a person who's had a couple or ten beers.

Its not off you just have to go into your control panel and set your time zone...then it will be right Wink

keep up the good fight, bigworm. at first i found this new layout a little confusing. i admit i am one who hates any kind of change out of the norm. i am finding this easier to navigate each time i use it. thanks again for your time running the forum.
