So the changes have begun. I noticed Alltel in the mall is prepping to be switched to Verizon (I haven't been into any of the other Alltels to see if the same was true - but I imagine it is. Now comes the announcement of the name change to the civic center and this years main sponsor for the Vikings training camp is Verizon. Has anyone heard what Verizon plans to do with the former 'corporate headquarters' to Midwest Wireless and more recently 'call center' for Alltel? That would be some seriously bad news if they shut that place down......

I know that over time that some posters here have believed this to be an issue. Some may still think it is an issue as I see you toss in at the end of a post something like Obama is a xxxxx, xxxxx, xxxxx, etc. and a few still add on "Arab, Muslim and Kenyan" to their diatribe. They're pretty much a done deal, I think.

Is the "Kenyan" thing nearly over? It should be, as well as the others.

But here is a good review of the info so far as to the "Birther" issue from the television personality, who since Walter C's. demise has been named "the most trusted newsman in America -- John Stewart. :cheers:

Officials are decrying political corruption in New Jersey after more than 40 people, among them rabbis and elected officeholders, were arrested in an investigation in which some were accused of laundering tens of millions of dollars and of black-market trafficking of kidneys and fake Gucci handbags.

The 44 arrests Thursday were a remarkable number even for New Jersey, where more than 130 public officials have pleaded guilty or have been convicted of corruption since 2001.

"New Jersey's corruption problem is one of the worst, if not the worst, in the nation," said Ed Kahrer, who heads the FBI's white-collar and public corruption division. "Corruption is a cancer that is destroying the core values of this state."

Gov. Jon Corzine said: "The scale of corruption we're seeing as this unfolds is simply outrageous and cannot be tolerated."
